zine class 1
Pratt Course 457-01, Fall 2006
Instructor: Justin Fines

'Zine Making for Design: An Independent Publishing Primer' was a course taught at Pratt Institute in the fall of 2006. This website is the portfolio for the final class project, which required the students to create a 32 page zine. As stated in the syllabus, '... the most important functions of this project are to a) create a piece that is creatively and thematically significant and ultimately an important addition to their portfolio, and b)to explore the compositional possibilities, materials and processes used in printing the zine."

Each zine was produced in an edition of 40, and then put together as a set, of which several are available now through this site.

If you are interested in contacting any of the artists, please email info@zineclass.com and we will forward it on.

The course was taught by Justin Fines of DEMO
based on a proposal by Duncan Hamilton of White Diamond Projects.
